Boxing's biggest showdown on the brink: Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia make weight, but sparks fly as they need to be restrained!

In Las Vegas, a large crowd of supporters for Gervonta “Tank” Davis and Ryan Garcia witnessed a heated confrontation between the two boxers at their weigh-in outside T-Mobile Arena. Despite both boxers making the catchweight limit of 136 pounds, Davis lightly pushed Garcia, who responded with a shove of his own. Members of both fighters’ teams quickly intervened to separate them. Davis weighed in at 135.1 pounds, while Garcia weighed in at 135.5 pounds, which was his lowest weight since January 2021.

According to Garcia, aged 24 and who has competed in the 140-pound limit in his past two fights, he believes that Davis and Bernard Hopkins got into a heated argument, which escalated into something chaotic. Garcia stated that he is now only concentrating on defeating Gervonta Davis, which is why he kept staring at him, and he is fully prepared to annihilate him.

According to Garcia, he has eaten breakfast but he still needs to lose more weight. This is due to a rehydration clause in the contract, which was requested by Davis. The clause states that both boxers cannot weigh more than 146 pounds at a second weigh-in on Saturday morning. Although same-day weigh-ins are not typical, they have been used in significant fights before. If either fighter weighs over 146 pounds on Saturday and gains more than 10 pounds, they will be fined six figures.

Davis, who remains unbeaten at 28-0 with 26 KOs, previously fought at 140 pounds and won by an 11th-round TKO against Mario Barrios in June 2021. This current weight is the heaviest Davis has been since then. The young fighter expressed his excitement and eagerness to perform in front of the enthusiastic crowd and produce a stunning performance. Davis also suggested that veteran fighter Hopkins should step aside and let the new generation of boxers take over. Hopkins is currently involved with Team Garcia at Golden Boy Promotions.

Prepare for an intense fight that promises to be incredible. Avoid any distractions like getting drinks or snacks, and be sure to stay focused throughout. The punishment and potential knockout make it imperative that you don’t blink your eyes.
