Julián Figueroa, the son of Maribel Guardia and the late Joan Sebastian, was discovered deceased on Sunday, April 9th.Guardia reported that the medical report indicated her son had passed away from an acute myocardial infarction and ventricular fibrillation. Meanwhile, the General Prosecutor’s Office of Mexico City revealed that Figueroa’s death was due to natural causes and ruled out any violent crime or related offense.
Maribel Guardia, aged 63, announced that the funeral service for her son would be private. She shared a statement confirming his death. She expressed her sorrow at the loss of her beloved son, Julián Figueroa, who tragically passed away. He was found unconscious in his room while she was at the theater. According to Marco Chacón, Guardia’s current partner, in an interview with several media outlets upon his arrival at the airport, Figueroa’s family is devastated by the sudden death of the singer. “We’re in shock, personally I can’t believe it, I spent all night sorting things out with different people. It’s unexpected and the truth is, I don’t have much to say, I’m not doing well and the words aren’t flowing”, Chacón explained. “I’ve been with him since he was two years old, I’ve accompanied him in all stages of his life, and it’s crazy that he passed away so young”.
Likewise, Chacón denied any known previous illnesses. “Nope. He had COVID recently, but he was fine, overall fine,” she assured, adding that his partner Maribel Guardia is devastated, which is why she hasn’t appeared before any media since the news broke.Julián is Joan Sebastian’s third child to pass away, preceded by his sons Trigo Figueroa in 2006 and Juan Sebastian in 2010.

The young actor and singer had released several albums, including “Julián Figueroa y su banda”. Notable among his musical successes are songs such as “La trampa”, “Yo sería” and “Cómo olvidar”.
At the age of 8, the son of “The King of Jaripeo” started playing the guitar. Later, he pursued studies in singing and musical composition. Julian also had a career as an actor, appearing in productions such as “Mi camino es amarte” and the biographical series of his father “Por siempre Joan Sebastian,” as reported by Reforma.
